Jim Nagy was a true asset as a Club Member, but he will also be missed for the good man that he was, a role model to friends and family alike.
Jim had a great love for family, music and, of course, cars. He was a very active Board Member. He willingly stepped up to run Our Swap Meet, a daunting task, when Lee and Ron decided it was time to give someone else a chance. Jim knew that he had big shoes to fill, but he brought passion and perseverance to the job and the Swap Meet prospered under his guidance for the several years that he ran it. He reluctantly handed the reins to Sal Castellana and Dennis Zimny when he was diagnosed, and it was his fervent hope that he would be at the Fairgrounds in February to give advice and help in any way that he could.
It is our collective loss that he lost his battle with cancer way too soon. He handled his fight with a humble dignity, optimistically, but very pragmatically. Jim will be greatly missed by all, and we are better for having known him. The large turnout of Club Members for his Wake was a reflection of the admiration that so many of us felt for Jim.
